There are three on the fence, and the “big” comes from the center of the court to set the ball screen for the player who advanced the ball. It is a common early...

What is a slide? A slide is a ghost screen like pick-and-pop. Where the screener slides out of the screen to get some separation. The purpose is to create defensive confusion that may lead to a penetration opportunity or pick and pop shot. It behaves like a ball screen and fits well into a dribble drive motion offense as well. As you can see Marquette will even use slides guard on guard.

      BYU had a higher NET rating than Kentucky last year. They were also projected to be 13th in the conference at the start of the season. So you are mad that Kentucky selected an over achieving coach vs. an over achieving recruiter and under achieving coach? Makes sense.

    Chin means the positioning of the Center/Forward/Playmaker, right? Do they also run actions with a guy in the low post? I prefer to see Low Post positioning with backscreens and flash cuts to set up High Post play, instead of the high post guy just staying in that positioning.

    Laker Cut looks similar to a Shuffle Cut, is it the same or just similar. Laker Cut is new terminology to me. I think a Shuffle Cut goes along the FT Line basically and cuts down the Opposite Lane Line Laker Cut kinda does that but goes to the Corner

      @RadiusAthletics 10 місяців тому

      "Laker Cut" to me is a give-and-go after a post entry. It was part of the triangle offense and the Phil Jackson-era Lakers ran it to perfection. Hence the name "laker cut."

      Treat that like "spin" Dribble at the denied player, they cut backdoor. Pass to forward then that sets up the drift screen for the passer.
